The Long Winding Road

Good Morning to all my fellow humans out there.

As an author, I am fascinated with the imagination. Each day I wake up with a new story in my brain. I sit back and let it unfold in my mind to see if it will go anywhere.

Sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes, miraculously, it does, and it turns into a tale that I can’t seem to stop thinking about.

Those tales turn into words on paper.

I close my eyes, and I am transported into the scene, watching the whole thing unfold.

Often when I am writing a story, you can find me with my eyes closed typing away. I do this because I am watching the scene behind my closed eyes.

I know this sounds weird to most, but I can’t help myself. I don’t want to see words on the screen, get distracted by papers moving in the wind from my fan.

I want to see the characters. I want to watch them move and describe their very movements.

I want to bring everything from my mind into the papers so that every single one of you goes to the same world that my brain lives in.

I know for most they do not want anyone in their brains. Me, I invite each of you in when I write a book.

Some may like my brain, and others will not; either way, it is mine, and I celebrate all its little twists, turns, dark spaces, and light.

It is a beautiful ride, won’t you come along?

Until next time friends.
