This week I was blessed to read “My Friend Fresno” I connected with the Author and heard the fantastic story of “The Girl Who Dances with Skeletons” and how it came to her. I am inspired every day by people. Sometimes in the smallest of ways and others in the biggest of ways. No one really knows how they touch someone, until sometimes years later. Last night I received a beautiful message from the Author’s daughter that made me tear up and sleep very well. I felt how I had touched her little heart. I woke up this morning thinking of my grandmother. She was the light in my life, and since her passing in 2010, I have often wondered what it had been like if I would have paid more attention to her words. I have to remind myself that I wasn’t meant to pay attention at that time, but I am now. Everything that happens in life has a purpose, and I have to believe in it and learn from it.
I am blessed to encounter beautiful souls in this world and be at a place where I can embrace their purpose. I believe this book and the books that come after will be well received within the world of make-belief and children’s imagination for years to come.
